It’s that time of the year again…  The Bucs Sunday ‘B’ League will be starting on September 20th.  This season will consist of 28 regular season and 3 playoff games for $325.

I would appreciate it if everyone registered prior to 9/18 by faxing the completed registration form with credit card payment to 515-278-5401.

Hello Everyone,
As many of you have heard over the course of the season we have been planning a memorial hockey tournament for Gabe Fleming who tragically passed away at the beginning of the season while playing pick up game. Gabe had played Inline Hockey for several years and about 4 years ago we brought him over to ice to see what he could do. Along with his brother Zak (who is still playing) they played with the Slapshot Teams over the last few seasons.
 
The friends and family of Gabe have been putting together all of the items to set up a Memorial Scholarship Fund. This tournament will be the kicking off event for this fund that will assist players throughout the hockey community purchase equipment or pay for ice time.
 
So come join us Sept 26th for a great day of hockey and fun as we remember our fellow hockey player and support this great fund that will help our hockey community into the future.

Included in this post, you will find information on the 2009 Des Moines Youth Hockey Association (DMYHA) golf outing that will take place on Friday August 14 at Beaver Creek golf course in Grimes, IA.  DMYHA has around 560 participants that range in age from 3-18 years old.  Since DMYHA is a non-profit organization all proceeds that are made to this outing are tax deductible.

The golf outing is the only fundraiser that DMYHA has all season.  The money that is raised during this event is used to help keep the cost of tuition low for participants, purchase new equipment for our beginners, and provide scholarships to families who need financial assistance.

As you will see from the links there are multiple ways that you can help out;  You can sign up to play golf that day either as an individual or a foursome; you can be a event, lunch, drink, hole, or sign sponsor; or you can donate prizes/items to our silent auction or event raffle.
