B League registration form now available

The b league ’08/’09 season has been finalized and registration form is now available here. Schedule will be posted next week.

• Games will be held at Buccaneer Arena (7201 Hickman Road)
• LEAGUE FEE: $300 due in by September 21st, 2008 (no partial/half season option)
• All games are on SUNDAY evenings at the following times: 5:10pm, 6:30pm, 7:50pm, and 9:10pm
• League commissioners: Derek Hickey (BUCS), Joe Tufano
• Season runs Sept 21st – March 29th (26 games); playoffs – April 5th, 12th, 19th
• No games on 10/5/08 & 2/9/09 (superbowl)
• Registration/payment options: check, credit Card, or online
• ONLINE registration will be available by 9/5 at www.bucsevents.com

In the holiday spirit Irwin’s Bike & Sports is collecting nonperishable foods for charity. In exchange we’re giving 5% off for every item you donate.
Limit of 20% per item and it excludes bikes, labor, and special orders
but everything else is fair game.

11/17/07 Irwins Bike sponsored hockey game at Wells Fargo Arena

Irwin’s Bike & Sports in Johnston have put together another group promotion package with the Iowa Stars. It is similar to the event last April where 2 mens league teams (sponsored by Irwins) will be playing a game at Wells Fargo prior to the Iowa Stars game. Rosters, referees as well as scoreboard operator are all being iron out at this time.

Tickets are in the side/corner section (sections 101/124) this time and cost only $10. Ticket price will include 1 pop, 1 hot dog & 1 bag of chips. Yes, you read that correctly!

If anyone is interested in volunteering their time or playing in this event (roster slots are limited), please contact Joe Tufano. If you are interested in purchasing tickets, please contact Bill Goodman. Tickets are available ONLY at the Irwin’s Bike & Sports store. Checks are to be written out to Irwin’s Bike & Sports. We are in the beginning stages of coordinating with Irwin’s Bike & Sports and the Iowa Stars for some recreational games to be played at the Wells Fargo arena prior to a Stars game. Anyone played in the game back on April 7th, will know what to expect. More details to follow.
