B league information – 2009/2010 season

It’s that time of the year again… The Bucs Sunday ‘B’ League will be starting on September 20th. This season will consist of 28 regular season and 3 playoff games for $325.

League rules, registration form, and schedule (as of 8/27/09) can be found here – bucs-sunday-b-league

I would appreciate it if everyone registered prior to 9/18 by faxing the completed registration form with credit card payment to 515-278-5401.

2009 Des Moines Youth Hockey Golf outing

Included in this post, you will find information on the 2009 Des Moines Youth Hockey Association (DMYHA) golf outing that will take place on Friday August 14 at Beaver Creek golf course in Grimes, IA. DMYHA has around 560 participants that range in age from 3-18 years old. Since DMYHA is a non-profit organization all proceeds that are made to this outing are tax deductible.

The golf outing is the only fundraiser that DMYHA has all season. The money that is raised during this event is used to help keep the cost of tuition low for participants, purchase new equipment for our beginners, and provide scholarships to families who need financial assistance.

As you will see from the links there are multiple ways that you can help out; You can sign up to play golf that day either as an individual or a foursome; you can be a event, lunch, drink, hole, or sign sponsor; or you can donate prizes/items to our silent auction or event raffle.

Des Moines Buccaneers Rummage Sale

All items, new or used, will be priced to sell.

2009 Adult League Summer Registration (Metro Ice)

Adult Hockey Leagues will begin play week of April 27th – August 30th.

• There may be no league games the weeks of August 10th*
• A/B league if there is enough interest
• Wednesdays & Sundays depending on the number of teams
• Players must be 17 or older
• There will be 3 – 20 minute running clock periods

Every year I run a 100% free Playoff Hockey Pool. Its your standard pick ‘em type of league with a few twists. You not only pick the series, but the number of games it will go as well as draft a scoring line.
